Tragic Thanksgiving and more

Tragic Thanksgiving:
This thanksgiving was really sad for me. During Thanksgiving we had to take our
dog, Hemi, to the vet because he got sick. The vet said he had Pneumonia. Now before I go on, if you were reading my blog last year you will remember me talking about getting a new fish, Bullet. Well, this past thanksgiving I came home from the vet and went into my room to check on Bullet, and... well... He d-d-died. I miss him so much.

Now I know this is the safest place, but still I wish he were somewhere else, but my dad buried Bullet under our trash cans so Hemi and the neighborhood cats wouldn't dig him up. Happy swimming little guy... : ( I loved him so much... : ( Sigh. Yeah... Happy Swimming buddy. : <

I got a new, one-eyed fish. He's a Betta fish, too. He just lost his eye, somehow. I named him Patches because I was thinking "eye-patch."

More:

Well... I fell in absolute LOVE with Justin Bieber. He is so cute! Here are three of my favorite songs that he sings:

Swim Team

I had 2 meets lately. I'll tell you that I am not a big fan of swim meets. In both I did breaststroke, backstroke, and freestyle. At the Slauson pool I got to go down the water slide. The meet I did yesterday morning I had to do a relay, too. The coach literally, and I mean it, got on her knees and kept on saying please until I said yes. But I am mad because in that meet we were swimming against another team. Our team is the Gators (go us Gators!) and the other team is the gators TOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And it's especially not fair because that team had more things then us. For example they had stuffed animal gators, and shirts! But I am at least glad I got to go to the last meet with my friends.
Then yesterday, we also had a pioneer celebration for our church. And guess what! If you brought your swimsuit (some people did it in clothes) then you could go in the DUNK TANK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was SO FUN!!!!!!!!!!! And they had dinner, cookies, ices, popcorn, and cotton candy for free! Well bye!

Julie: an American Girl

The Julie series is what I have been reading lately. Here are the summaries of each of them:

Meet Julie: Julie had to move. She didn't want to move. She already had problems in her world but now has to move. Her parents are divorced and she missed seeing her dad. When she moves to her new school she meets a new friend, T.J. As soon as she hears that there is a school basketball team she is really excited. Then when she goes to tryout and sign up she can't... cause she's a GIRL! What does she do?

Julie Tells Her Story: Julie gets assigned a project for school where she is supposed to tell the story of her life. One of the assignments is the worst thing that ever happened to her. Her parents' divorce was the worst thing that ever happened. She decides that she doesn't want to tell her class that. Once she breaks her finger she thinks she can put that instead. What does she decide to do?

Happy New Year Julie: Julie's parents are divorced and it is Christmas! Christmas for Julie won't be the same this year. Worst of all, Julie's sister, Tracy, won't come to her dad's house for Christmas! Julie's friend's family invited Julie's WHOLE family to come to a Chinese New Year feast! Will this make things worst for Julie's family? Or will it bring them closer together?

Julie and the Eagles: One day when Julie and her friend, Ivy, are in the park they find a baby owl. When they take the owl to the rescue center Julie sees Shasta and Sierra, Bald Eagles. Hopefully they will be able to fly in the wild one day, and so can their babies. But with Shasta's injured wing and lack of money how can they? Can she tell people and help them understand? Or will Shasta and Sierra and their babies have to stay in a cage the rest of their life.

Julie's Journey: Julie joins a wagon train to celebrate America's 200th birthday. She is excited about riding a horse but her cousin's horse is scary. Her cousin, April, starts making fun of her but when she can make a historic value she notices there is only one way to get it. That is on horseback.

Changes for Julie: Julie gets detention and realizes there is better things to do in detention then writing sentences. When she decides to run for student body president, so she can change detention, she has problems. Her friend, Joy, is running for Julie's vice president, and Julie notices that people are being mean to Joy and not voting for her cause she is deaf. What will Julie do?

Good Luck, Ivy: When Ivy has a gymnastics competition she gets nervous. She had bad experiences with the balance beam before. Worst of all, her family reunion is on the day of the competition. What will she do?

The 39 Clues: The Sword Thief

The Sword Thief by Peter Lerangis is really interesting. The Cahill kids are looking for their next clue. Once they meet their uncle, they start finding clues. And with their uncle around it seems easier to get around. Soon they meet up with another family trying to find the clue. All three teams pair up together and find where the clue is hidden. Do all of them look for the next clue together? Or does the teams abandon each other? And in this book is there a happy ending? Who knows? That is why you NEED to stop at your library and pick up this book. But remember this is IMPORTANT: This series is the kind of series that you need to read in order so pick them up in this order:
  1. The Maze of Bones
  2. One False Note
  3. The Sword Thief
  4. Beyond the Grave
  5. The Black Circle
  6. In Too Deep
These books have different authors so here are the authors:
  1. Rick Riordan
  2. Gordon Korman
  3. Peter Lerangis
  4. Jude Watson
  5. Patrick Carman
  6. Jude Watson
These aren't all the books out but these are the books we have. So go out and read this series! Bye!

Hemi

Guess What?! I got a dog! His name is Hemi. He is a Great Dane puppy. I love him so much! He also howls when he is left alone. He comes most of the time I call. He has to go out every hour to go poop and pee. I think his favorite toy is the tug-a-war toy.
Here are some pictures and videos of him:

Earth Day

For Earth Day my parents and I went to 2 Earth Day celebrations. The first 1 we went to was a walk. On the walk we had to pick up dirty litter. We had to wear these plastic gloves that were so HOT! Before we began Smokey the Bear and H2O Owl were there. I took some pictures with them. Then we went to another Earth Day celebration. This one just had some booths where we can get some fliers about certain stores and get free stuff. Well that's all for today. See you next time!

My garden

OK. How many of you like to garden? If you do yell ME! Come on. I won't bite if you don't. Well, I have plants now! I am growing Cosmos, Watermelon, salad, tomatoes, and spinach! What is your favorite thing to grow? If you don't have a garden always remember: "The prophet said to plant a garden." If you are not fond of gardening, I understand. I didn't like gardening until yesterday. I soon found out it was fun! So, if you don't, I encourage you to at least try. Now I can't wait until everyday to water the plants. That is probably the best part besides planting the seeds! Happy Easter!

ISLAND CORONADO

We went over a BIG bridge to get to the island. Once we got out of the car we stayed at a park for a couple of minutes. Then we walked around the bay and boardwalk.

SEAWORLD

Best place of the week! They have rides there. The BEST one is Journey to Atlantis. There is a 60 foot drop on it! FUN! Then there are stingrays! They feel slimy and rubbery! We went to a killer whale show. Apparently, the killer whales were bored and when a pelican landed near them, they charged! The baby and mom played tug- a -war and 1 second later a limp pelican floated to the top. LOL!

My first basket!

My first basket! If you don't know I am on the basketball team. The team we played had won all their games this year. We have only won one this year, and we had to go to overtime. I also stole the ball and got the rebound! It was fun!
